Just received a phone call from my diver informing me that while cleaning my bow and stern thrusters, he noticed the stern thruster blades were more difficult to turn then in previous dives. He didn't see anything wrong, but wanted to give me a heads up that a problem may be developing. It is a electric Vetus thruster. Just used it two weeks ago and everything seemed routine. Thoughts anyone? Jeff

It would be interesting to run it in both directions for a while and see if it loosens up.

Jeff - as you know the water is so warm right now, you can practically watch the barnicles grow on the side of your boat right now. I would guess that you have an oyster shell stuck in there that Steve didn't see or could not feel. As Michael suggested, I would probably try to run it a bit and see how it performs.

How is your A/C holding up? Everyone down at this end of the dock is having a terrible time keeping their lines clean.

I try to make a point of giving my bow and stern thrusters a good run in both directions at the dock every time I am on the boat - whether I take it out or not. This time of year especially. As Keith said you can almost watch the barnicles growing and this is the worse year for algea that I can remember in the south east. It has been a crazy year. They shut the shrimp season down early in February because of near record low water temperature and now we are approaching record high water temperatures in July.
