Home Port: LaCrosse, WI IP Logged | As much as I hate to talk about this, with limited space at our marine for winter storage, I have to plan now.
This topic has most likely been talked about several times before my time but, I wanted to ask the experts.
In northwest Wisconsin, I have four choices for storage.
The choices I have are indoor heated, indoor cold, outdoor shrunk wrap and bubbled in and shrunk wrapped.
Talking with the Harbor Master today, he is suggesting to bubble in and shrink wrapped.
I have heard from a few different dock mates that a boat of my size and weight is best left in the water and bubbled in.
I'm looking for advice being that this is the first year with the new boat.
Please tell me the pro's and con's of each of my choices.
Indoor heated is by far the most expensive and bubbled in is the least expensive.
Thanks,
John...

Home Port: Sturgeon Bay, WI. I would say about 80% of the boaters in our area do the heated storage method. You can work on your boat over the winter season and the interiors of the boat don't under go those 10 below zero temps. Those extra $$ spent can give you piece of mind when you hear the term blizzard warnings for the week end. imho,,,,
Our marina stores boats from 18 to 65 ft. inside, you could check out other marinas for storage options.

IP Logged | Our 368 was stored outside and shrink wrapped last fall and it was a brutal winter in PA. All systems were good to go in the spring and the shrink wrap held up fine. I did put numerous dessicant containers inside the boat before it was wrapped. I had a zippered access door on the shrink wrap so I could still get inside. A wooden frame was built so the wrap didn't have stress points, there were no tears or water intrusion however the cost of the wrap job was a grand. I'd prefer inside heated but that wasn't an option for us as the balcony top would have to be removed to transport the boat to storage. Too much $$$ and headache
