You should contact Side Power; if they won't sell to you directly they will recommend a dealer in your area. I would use the IP95 for the stern thruster and the standard 95 for the bow thruster. The IP95 is a little harder to install but then you have a sealed unit. Check and see if you have a diverter on your stern thruster; the early 459's did not have them. I used the same sized battery on the 95's that the 75's used and they worked fine. There are many updates to the relays that operate the thruster; the new ones are smaller and dependable. I would recommend the 5-bladed prop up-grade also. I did this on my 459 and it seemed that the thrusters were twice as strong, even though you are only increasing the motor size by less than 30%.

Gordon,
The motor ratings are listed as 4.4 KW and 6.0 Kw for the 75 and 95 respectively. This translates to 6 HP and 8 HP. Fib-Le near Montreal did the upgrade for me. If you want their co-ordinates, let me know. The upgrade is worth the money.

They were upgraded at the marina in Longueuil (Montreal's south shore) during winter storage.
I'm not sure if Jean-Francois will want to go to Oakville but it's worth the try. He's very busy in the Montreal area doing all kinds of upgrades on boats 40' and up but I think he's done some work in Gananoque, Ont. Here's his cell phone number.

Fib-Le : Jean-francois LeRoyer (514) 232-8534

Good luck
